Efren Peñaflorida is CNN Hero of the Year (Video)

(CNN) — Efren Peñaflorida, who started a “pushcart classroom” in the Philippines to bring education to poor children as an alternative to gang membership, has been named the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year.

    Congratulations to Efren Penaflorida. This guy, Efren, could help in educating children despite his financial capacity, who’s also poor. Why can’t the rich ones in the Philippines do this kind of heroic act to those who are in need? What we see instead, is the rich keeps on enriching themselves, specially the corrupt politicians.
